After Rangi light I guess it averaged 18kn, not sure about the gusts. I didn't look around much. Sailing north on port it got windier and I gybed a couple of times to get away from some wind lines which looked 20+. Seems I was lucky to miss the strong winds:) The boat is easier to sail than it looks, but the race was harder than I expected! An extras race would be hard work but the sailing would be great. Above 10kn the main problem would be getting a good furl. In a straight line it makes the boat safer - it was noticeable XL was more bow-down with only the jib up. XL max speed was 22.7, average 13.5kn. Mike Link to post Share on other sites
