if like us you have a problem with black Diesel Soot on your transom you could try this.

After adding exhaust pipe extenders and other ideas that did not work I have cut the leg off an old wetsuit and cable tied it over the exhaust it is about 300mm long and is off a 7mm thick wetsuit with reinforcing on both sides so reasonably stiff - it work a treat and has been there about 5 years.
