If you want to learn to sail on a keel boat RPNYC run a program throughout the year from Clyde Quay.

You can probably get a spot crewing on a racing yacht after the basic course and go from there.

If you want to learn the wet way, the dinghy clubs run learn to sail programs in summer.

You could also do it the old fashioned way, buy a yacht and see what happens.

Not advisable in Wellington especially though. :)

If you want to learn as you go, pop along to Lowry Bay Yacht Club at Seaview Marina. Our yachts are generally around the 30ft Keelers, we are a friendly bunch, and have a great Clubrooms on the waterfront.

We can always find you a spot on one of our boats, whether racing or cruising.

Check out our website for coming events www.lbyc.org.nz
