tuffyluffy 76
Does anyone know who is authorised to change the battery in these things? and how much does it cost? I just noticed that mine expired in Dec 09, along with all my flares - doh, ka-ching $$

Guest
Thanks David. Yep Safety at Sea is your home of the battery change. If it is the orange GME 400 - $300 inc GST and you get a new one (sort of). They are actually giving it a full recondition as part of the change - kind of like a service pack upgrade. Allow a week for the job. If you are wanting to upgrade to a GPS EPIRB, bring it in and we give you $100 off the price of a new one as a trade in.
tuffyluffy 76
Thanks for the info Jono. The 'week' to do it is a problemo - cat 3 inspection this arvo, Simrad on Sat. Any chance i could pop in and get it done while i wait? Its the non GPS, orange model.
