[marine life wood carvings]

G'day blokes and blokettes, This is a thinly veiled advertisement (And one that I am happy to pay for should there be any interest from this post) I hope the admins can find it in their hearts to leave it be ❤️

To cut a long and sad story short, I've recently had to stop boatbuilding (not by choice, epoxy sensitivity chose for me) so have been doing a bit of wood carving to busy myself. These are all hand made from either recycled Kauri or Macrocarpa from the local mill.

If anyone Is looking for an awesome one of a kind chrissy pressy, Or you'd just like to have an Orca in the study without the logistics and legal inquiries from DOC, Give me a bell!

Hood rat and Suspect device will be there representing the piedies, although we will be pirate entries cause it was just turning into a hassle and quite frankly we'd rather spend the money on piss. We'll both be carrying life rafts because... well cause they're piedies.

(And after bashing back from channel island in 25+ wind agaisnt tide at night a few weeks ago my chines are probably going to open up) 

We'll still come and get in the way at the start line so watch out cause ya wont be able to protest us out of it

what kind of stories? 50kts upwind with crew being taken off with split heads and broken ribs? losing the rudder off sail rock? naked sleep walking through the duke of marlborough? that time a disgruntled local stormed out of the pub to go get his shotgun cause he didnt like the place being over run with yachties?

Had to make an account just to post this. Drifting back into gulf harbour in the piedy a few months back. light easterly breeze, only fumes left in the gas tank so had to sail as far as marina security would allow, out going tide from the weiti river pushing us onto the cliff. the pictures don't really show it but we were danger close to the reef (close enough I honestly thought, and hoped, that this pr*ck was going to hit the rocks).

Saw him on the next pier over when we got in, yelled out and said "bloke you pull that stunt again you're gonna get a bottle through your fkn window", his response?  "mate i don't know what you're on about, what did i do?". I mean it's not like we are inconspicuous, the boats bright pink ffs. 

I'm not advocating for more laws or licensing, I'm dead against both of those things. my only regret is not making use of the empty bottles I had on hand.
