I see it now. Would be interesting to see it from a different angle as that seating in the cockpit look very much like park benches.

What are those grey areas at the stern between the hulls? ........If it's seating then it looks a dodgy add on.

Was never a good hard stand with very limited access and in the end (like little shoal bay) it just became a collection point for a heap of junk.

Got a Barient winch service kit from them (Hutton-Arco) a few years back, good service, good price and kit arrived within 10 days.

I'm seeing a lot more unloved derelict keelers on trade me these days. I guess this is a sign of the times as a lot of boats reach their use by date and owners are burdened with what to do ............Why, I'll list it on trade me with a $1.00 reserve and it'll become someone else's problem. I feel the problem is only going to increase over the next few years as the authorities clamp down on junk in our environment ....Then what? Is there an answer as to what to do with this junk.

Forget going by boat, take the car, plane or bus and you'll have a far safer, comfortable and reliable trip.

Agree with you aardvarkash ..........My Father in Law was a classical example. Never stepped foot on a boat but was only to happy to wear his squadron tie.

On a recent ferry trip Pahia to Russell I saw Te Rauparaha sitting on a swing mooring in Russell. Even though she's currently mast-less and in a very sad state she still has the beautiful sweet lines of the Ross 40 and is just screaming out for someone to give her a little TLC.

Use to do Mahurangi, I'd sail boat up, babe would drive car up therefore having car if she wanted to bail. Mahurangi made a good base for day trips to surrounding islands and even tender trip up to Warkworth. There are also a few d.o.c camp sites around Mahurangi that you can pitch a tent at a resonable rate.

In the midst of Auckland's housing crisis our council sign off a $1.5 million state house edifice that can only be viewed from the outside, imagine how many current (liveable) state houses the council can have tarted up for $1.5 million.
I'm not a graffiti supporter or fan however I hope this load of crap becomes a target for some real smart political graffiti aimed at our council.

2 years ago when I sold my boat (Whiting 29) a 10.5 metre marina rental was around $400.00 per month, now it looks like it's over $600.00 per month .........a 50% increase in 2 years, daylight robbery. With the squeeze now going on moorings and poles (Westhaven) being removed is there an answer for a safe/reasonably priced place to house a boat around Auckland? I think even the cats in places like Shoal Bay can't feel 100% safe with their future
In my line of industry (civil construction) certain prices have remained relatively static in the last few years, when I do see price increases is usually on the back of government/local authority rules and regulations driving the specification to another level that is usually negated by more costly processes and products to meet their demands and these increases are generally handed onto the end user, in our case, the owner of the project. Looks likes this same scenario is evident in Marinas and whenever an increase is handed onto a Marina (in this case potable water use) it's just handed on, most probably with interest ..............Maybe it's time the Marinas got a little smarter and absorb or sucked up some of these costs to keep their clients happy.

First off, I had TV3 on all Saturday arvo for the non event ..........Now, here's my problem. Dolphins need to surface around every 8 - 10 minutes to breath. So, for the duration of the non-event on Saturday that race course has TV cameras, Drone cameras and a whole heap of spectators with binoculars and I'd imagine decent cameras and I didn't see one single image of a Hectors Dolphin ..........Did I miss something?
