... that has held the America’s cup.

Voted and like the optimism of having a question like “I would like to receive email information from third parties.’
Yeah right.

Completed dodger is still a week or so away. Will post a pic under a different thread if you’re interested.

Pork Chop now cat3 and entry is on its way in!

We were taking about our patio deck not boat deck. One needs a different level of logistics to transport seawater to house compared to a bag of salt or a few bottles of product.
-
Probably too busy holding on to stop falling on its head.

Freshwater algae doesn’t like salt water, as you’ve found out. I was thinking of just doing the deck with a bucket of salt water but the salt from PnS would be more expensive than the disinfectant. It’s unbelievably cheap and smells nice too.

Once more, hats off to Crew for saving the wife time and money. Oops I mean, me time and money. Bought the pak an save stuff for 1.59 for 2 litres. Spread it on our hardwood deck which has thick green algae and was tough to get off with our one lung Karcher water blaster.
I did four patches: neat, 2:1 (2 disinfectant to 1 water), 1:1, 1:2.
Worked fine at 1:1 and above but not so good at 1:2.
We couldn’t leave it and walk away as it is way way way slippery so I did two tests: blast it off in 10 mins and another after an hour. 10 mins is not long enough. After an hour it sloughed off like leper skin.
Next test will be to spread a bit where we don’t walk and walk away and see what happens (when it stops raining).
And wheels is correct: active ingredient is some chemical with a long name.
Cheers Madyottie.

Hi Rawhide
What draft will it take? We draw 2.5.
-
I didnt say we went that speed but did log it. In any case , it was damn fast and exhilarating with a big X.
Mind you we stuffed up the gybe (again) and ended up chasing boats to windward.
Legends is always an excellent weekend.

We all had a great weekend. Lots of competitive Sailing, partying, fishing. Top speed logged on Pork Chop 16.9 knots two days running. Highlight of the year for us.

Shots on TVs showed a furled mainsail??left to cross the pacific: didn’t know how to navigate? Didn’t know how to sail?
-
Does anyone know where I can get a southern pacific deflatable valve replaced in tauranga? Ta

Or if the fiberglass has been cracked and the water gets in under the skin. Gets in and can't get out.

Out with the old in with the new
An engine replacement while still on the Bert? That's an achievement.

The whole book by James Baldwin is a good read. A circumnavigation in a 28 footer.

thats a great thing to aim for.

You also have to recognize the risk of picking one too small for your boat. I don't over night on them.
-
They are exclusively licensed to the holder but I pick vacant ones up all the time, but don't leave the boat unattended.
One year I got completely reamed out by a guy in kerikeri as I was waiting for a friend to turn up for a day cruise and the bay was too full of moorings to risk dropping the pick. Not a pleasant scene but he was correct - it was his after all.

The very same.

I have a mate whose little dog visited our boat and made a nice toilet out of one of our quarter berths. Apparently the wee thing is now sh*t scared of any loud noises.

I've done both and think the convenience of the marina is worth it. I'm about to pop down to the boat to do 1/2 hour job. It used to be a 1/2 day effort.

Very good coverage and great close one design racing. Reminds me of the old Citizen match racing days, albeit in boats twice the size.
Lots of really good illustrations of tacticsl and boat handling.
