For a gauge (diesel) No problem, could tap into the ss if it was 5mm thick, but it isn't! So need a way of getting a flange inside the tank,that can tap into.Say a 2in hole. Ideas?

I like my Oceans too ( ensure you cant loose the seat)So light and easy to throw around the foredeck.

On my other boat (volvo 3cyl) Light on means diodes shot?How to find where fault is? Could test out alt, you then run it and diodes go again. Could spend time on wiring then find fault is with the alt. Really nice to run the engine and say alt is charging, fault elsewhere. But if you have a fault, then the alternator will blow.

Poor screw flattened as.Danged if know where from. Must have been sitting in the cleaner, but no empty holes. Indents in piston top that I,ve smoothed down, but still there. Gave head to reconditioners.

Unfortunately spun her over on the starter this am. Cant be helped. Yes can rock her but then she comes to the spot where she stops. What are the bad scenarios? What tests before head off? Dread sailing home -20m. Wind here so fluky

Out for a few days, and shutting motor down, she was making some odd noises. Wouldnt start this am,took tappet cover off, and big spanner on flywheel and turn her (check tappets ok)and turns free then comes to a sudden stop! Help please. Should I try turning her backwards?

On mooring. But a port/stbd line securing tiller end takes a lot of cockpit space. Anyone invented something better? Hinge up tiller.

Volvo 28.;Salt water comes in and thru H/Ex (for refrigerator) then to impeller pump on front of Volvo.Could I rig this for fresh water cool for engine and scrap refrigeration? Never seen this before. Means fresh water using only one pump

No way here of finding fuel quantity.So want to do something about that. For dipstick I need to cut a hole. Tho mate said just seal on clear piece of perspex seethru does the job. Maybe look at rivets? Then best way to seal,gasket or a sika?
