Oh Goody!
We have just be advised that Motokorea Buoy is also missing - someone wants to make our life harder!Anyhow please see amendment 2 - replacing Motokorea Buoy with a Laid mark in the vicinity of Motokorea for the start and finish mark for this sundays race.CheersChris -
Hi Guys
Have spoken with harbour master and mark is still missing so...
Amendment attached for this Sundays course - replacing Northern Leading Buoy with Rangitoto Race Marker.
Hope you all have a great race, and will see you at the club for a beer after.
Cheers

Always wondered how long the lady prod option would last booboo - new one looks awesome!

Rest assured whatever the forecast is now, you wont get.
Its always funny watching a week out southerlies forecast, and whatever they say you will see 10 days out you normally get the opposite
My vote on line is the mighty V5!

For an outboard that size i would have thought it could start off the house battery if it has decent capacity. Its not a huge load to start it.
Rather than the complexity of a second battery i would run with it off the house battery and keep a charged up "Jump Starter" on the boat you can kick it with if needed - far simpler for the few times you need it. And if your going to put in another battery why not just make the house bank big enough that you wont run it too flat for the small amount needed to start the little outboard motor...
And when cruising a boat that doesnt have massive charge capacity from the engine your alot more careful how much you run the house batteries down anyhow.
I take it there is no way to manual start the T9.9 if the battery is flat?

New stink boat has a Manson Supreme, have been cruising with people who had them for years and always heard good things but never bothered to change.
Went out last Tuesday and anchored in Motuihe channel - 15knot northerly and a bit of chop. Anchor went down, probably not enough chain to be honest, but the thing bit straight away - was seriously supprised. Spent the arvo tinkering around for fish and anchored probably 6 times in different depths and bottom composition, and never had a problem at all.
Thats a vindex 350 with plenty of windage, and a 25lb Supreme... Pretty impressed.

Yeah the Young boat is a pretty good option...

Thanks Team, i bit the bullet and stuck in teh BEP Unit with sensors and switch for solenoid. Happy with it - just gotta ignore the bill
Yes found out the bypass bit so thats easy... And keep the old regulator on board too - have had the solenoid die before and it made for a cold night cooking dinner on the BBQ in the pouring rain!
-
Cool thanks team - BEP it is.
Do you guys run the model with the sensor and the switch in the control panel? or just the switch?
The yacht had a sniffer and switch in one panel... So think thats the way.
-
Nothing wrong with it - about to buy one, but just wanted to check if there was any different models.
We had a different one on the 88 and i wouldnt have a boat without one - using the bottle your likely to leave it on...
-
So i know about the BEP model - but what are other people using? Are there any decent alternatives.
Ideally looking for an LPG sensor and switch in one unit, but otherwise just the LPG Switch would do.
Fire away...
-
Haha yea i saw it pop up and recognised it from a while ago.
