We can do a Cat division no problems at all if we can get interest from 5 boats?
Entry form here -http://www.bbyc.org.nz/data/uploads/nor-winter-2016.pdf
$20 for the two race days.

The new motor we put in Cosa Nostra has a banjo fitting as the sump plug which has a hose that runs off to a manual pump. So basically an extraction pump from the sump plug - would be easy to retro fit into existing motors but makes Oil change a breeze...

No jet washer will get into the insides of the RHS that most trailers are made out of. Remember that to hot dip a trailer frame, holes are drilled or cut to allow the process to coat both the outside and the inside of the RHS and the outside. The salt water would flood in just fine, but good luck getting it washed out through a 10mm hole or similar.
Also, consider the wheel bearings, brakes, suspension, and if fitted control systems, hydraulics etc. No way can you get them all pressure washed as the salt water will have reached places inaccessable to a water jet.
Anyone who put my tandem trailer in the water would have just agreed to purchase it from me as they got it wet. Remember that a good sized tandem trailer with brakes etc can easily cost over $10K.
Quick trip to a lake or River and dunk in fresh water it is the best way!

yeah they can be sleeved fine. My advise would be to talk with Bart - or else get hold of Grunta McKinnon - he just did it with what looks like the same mast section for the Smoke Wagon mast - and as everyone know Grunta is the Carbon guru...
Get in touch with me Nige if you havent got his details. or http://windwarrioryachts.co.nz/

I can check with FOC but i think they were Durapox'd to start with - so a light sand back and re-coat...

The Navtec agent in NZ is Kiwi Yachting
http://kiwiyachting.co.nz/content/navtec
Blair / Gappy will help you out.
Otherwise if thinking ENZED type Hydraulic man in a van type - give Neil a call - 027 473 4457 - He owns the Ross 930 Lightfoot, and an ENZED franchise. And is a good rooster that knows his stuff. He did quite a bit of Hydro work for us when i was rigging.

Nah not me! He stole my name for his email address cheeky bugger!

8.5?
Not that one no, through some miracle given how hard it was pushed!

What do you mean - Boats are a fantastic investment arent they?
-
Problem is loads on a prod are not 2 dimensional or in a single plane, they are up, and across, so the load is all over the place, sort of the same with a mast. But the Round Tube handles the load on all quadrents equally as well.
It would be easier to kink a triangle if the bending point was on the flat portion...

That would be the Harbour Master then!

List of Safety inspectors here...

Would be interesting to hear what Yachting NZ say - playing devils advocate the boat may not be sound and he is blaming his age just to sell it on trade me?

Mercia i think became Puddleduck, Vestalia was wrecked also...

We had a Piedy way way back when at least twenty boats would race with Akarana. Tightest racing we ever did but kind of sad to see so many of the names have changed. I think you lose the history of the boat when you do that and I always thought many of the names like "Dancing Mouse" for instance, were pretty cool. Ok, now I'm going nuts trying to remember some of the names.
The Fleury boys had "Rising Damp", there was Waimania, Lelant, Triumph, Pied Piper of course, Minx, Rat Catcher, Ratz, Motamouse, Beep Beep, Party Piedy, Humbug, Clarinet as above, Hot Water Pipe, Jim Beam, Tartar, Woodstock, Livewire, Pinotage, help me here people, I've only got nineteen!
I started keelboat racing on a Reactor but after watching those stroppy little buggers come planing past us …….well….
Yeah you do a little, but after alot of the big do ups the boats get changed to hide how bad they once were i suspect... And Clarinet is a pretty wimpy name for a boys Piedy - Rat Bags sums these boys up way better!! The boat is owned by two brothers who bought her as a project with their old man, they did all the hard yards themselves, and have a pretty cool knowledge of the boat now which is cool!
Rising Damp became Moneyshot, Waimania became MissBehave i think, Triumph last i heard was in Tauranga and i think hit rocks and was written off. Pied Piper is still at BBYC owned by the Harkin boys, Lelant is in Opua getting a 10 year long rebuild - needed a new keelson but i think is sitting upside down in a shed. Minx is still around somewhere, last seen with awesome varnish cabin sides!, Motamouse is still around, Hot Water pipe is racing this weekend as Admiral E, Tartar is out west still owned by Ian, Woodstock is in Milford, Pinotage is still around last seen in Halfmoon Bay looking good, Livewire is at BBYC too and well looked after.
Help choosing a trailer sailer - big is better right?

I would go and negotiate with the Ross 780 guy and see if you can pull the price closer to the Trojan price. - In my opinion a far better boat. The outboard age alone is worth the price difference - a new outboard is not a cheap exercise...
