While I support them in the front line I actively campaign against their Vision (Everybody safe on the water) and political meddling.
Picture that Vision, no boat allowed to sail faster that 5 knots, start lines to be a mile wide and no one is allowed to come within 20 mtrs of another boat!

Well stated Wheels.

I am a member but a disgruntled one who thought of not renewing but I do support what they do.
As stated their Vision is: "Everybody safe on the water. .."
It's an impossible vision as some people like the riskier side of water sports. Me included!
I don't like they way they are becoming politicised and that they sit on advisory boards and help steer policy to suit their Vision.
The reason we have to wear a life jacket in the Coromandel when rowing ashore from a boat or to boat is because they advised that it should be policy.
I took it up with CG at the time - 2013, Neil Murry CG Boating Edu.
Please, do what you do best "Saving lives at sea" and stay out of policy making.

A good sewing machine is a handy tool when you have tramps!

Excellent, glad AJ's balls are back in one piece!

The RNLI are pretty ballsy, good to see them in action.
I thought they gave it a good go.

Always a great moment when a new sail gets flown.
Enjoy!

Ah ... the IYC Commodore's boat too!
There are a few well known wrecks around the Needles.

You mean less compression on your prod, if I read that right and your 2:1 in on the tack line.
A 2:1 on the main halyard is a real pain when it twists and knots inside the mast ... in the bin it went!

I like the simple block at the base of the mast and bring the halyard back to a winch.

Looked like you were having great fun as you wizzed past the Townson regatta with racing hairdo Clive.
Yea... banging the corners!!

Thanks DYC!
Great fun. Well done Ken - you deserved that win mate.
It's not easy in that wind/sea state to do a lot, I had coffee, lunch etc but I sure as hell was not going to let go of the helm/sheets to enjoy them!

Fridge compressor is another reason. Morning/evening run.

Thanks for the info.
6m return length - fortunately the 6 core cable running across the boat is still good so it's just the 2 core to the lights/etc that have gone bad..
-
thanks for the offer guys - max length is 6m and highest amps is only 0.5 - 2 core. Would that make it 4.0 conductor size?

I am pretty sure Laurie is looking to sell.
There is a half share available in Hurts Like Heaven: http://www.multihull.org.nz/
Another great boat and they nearly took the Nationals away from us 2 years ago! Nearly but not quite!

Interesting!
When will she hit the water?
Sam tried a double luff sail on Stealth when she first hit the water.
