Will you be handing out freebies AA
Ha Ha yes Wheels freebies about - what size incontinence pants would you like?
-
Yesterday I mowed the lawns, repaired the broken stays on the hot water cylinder overflow - using an old 3 mm traveller rope (that's why you never throw out old ropes) and put some more patches on the roof and painted over them. Then I cleaned the wheels on the car. Oh yes, I repaired Pedro's gennaker too - most important job of all.
Today I scrubbed the waterline of the Ant, and cleaned underneath the boat with my home made clean under the boat thingo and then I scrubbed off all the pollen that lands on the decks and cockpit at this time of year. I've just finished helping my other half in the garden again as clearly all day yesterday wasn't enough
And very shortly I'll have a beer.
And in case anyone's interested for the next three days I'll be at an aged care conference - WooHOO! - not.

For a 37 you could try Neil Gillard at Sika products in Avondale he built one years ago and may still have plans. My Dad had a early 37 (Kaharoa ) a sister to Venus. and the inlaws had a 30 Coel Na Mara
Neil built Focal Point and then also modified it with a beautifully built stern extension. He doesn't own it now but it's been a Weiti boat for many years.

Tim we'll be pleased to see you up our neck of the woods. If you need any info just pm me or call the club office - be glad to help.

The Wolf looks very nice Tim. Scything through the water. Looked very smooth on Saturday.
How was the green rocket machines kite work on Sat AA?
I hear one of the boats, or at least the foredeck crew, had a bit of a shocker.... and it wasn't one with a name starting with a W
That's because I told you I had a shocker you sh#t stirring b#st#rd
I CONFESS!!! IT WAS MY FAULT THE GENNAKER WENT UP UPSIDE DOWN!!!
There - you happy now? By the way I had a stellar day yesterday!
On the other hand not to get off topic Timberwolf looked to be having a great day!

But we can motor around with the foils down to see how much drag they are!
So if we see you zooming around with TW up a foot or so off the water, we'll know they are high lift foils!?!
-
Awesome Tim!
-
Love it!
-
So... You will have 2 new amas, a new mast and presumably new sails, and you might have to build a new centre hull - but it will still be the same ol' Timberwolf

more Power
Argh Argh Argh! Tim the Tool Man's favourite quote!
-
Awesome...

wow! Deserving of it's own thread! What amazing dedication to the time lapse photography! Poor person just sitting there for months taking a photo every now & then.
-
So what did you do in your holidays Tim
-
Just imagine what would happen if they're both in the water at the same time - the beam would decrease!
-
They look flash Tim. Are they cnc cut?
-
Very sexy! What are they? Curved foily things?
-
Was driving past Okahu bay yesterday and saw the Tee Dubbyah sitting there minus amas. Looks kinda weird without em strapped on eh. Bet you're looking forward to the finished result eh Tim!
-
Glad to hear progress is steadily being made Mr W! Bit of a pisser being without floats over Christmas eh, but the bigger picture looks great.
I must admit that lacking a 3 dimensional mind I struggle to get my head around how it all will look. Last week I was in Kumeu and when I got home I though that I should have gone in for a look - but I didn't think of it at the time and also I don't know where Gary is.
I'd invite you out for a sail in my shiny red boat but you'd probably find sailing at 7 knots a bit tedious.

Do I smell a bar fight here?
Ye of little faith. Tim will apologise for misleading everyone, blame it on disappointment about the overweight and do what he should have done in the first place. Detail the 75 kg calculations (maybe the hours as well), then explain where he went wrong. With a bit of luck, he will learn a bit of humility and not be so quick to attack others in future.
And Gary will apologise for being unprofessional, give his take on why the weight was so high and we can all discuss how it could have been done better/made lighter, which is what the forum is all about.
Rob
Hiya Rob I wasn't picking a fight with you or Tim! In fact I'm still trying to work out how this all got started. You both strike me as intelligent men and I wonder why there isn't room for each others points of view? Hell I know nothing about designing or building boats or the bits that make them go so I'd believe anyone who sounds rational. What's the argument about? (probably a rhetorical question)

Wheweee! Sleek looking bugger ain't it!
-
Yes any aspirations I might have had to build a boat are gone. I just don't have the skill, inclination, or patience to do it. But I do admire those who do. Big ups!

Is it a kind of dreadnought bow? Looks lean and mean...
