Ok this coming Wednesday we've selected the steamy Australian art film South Solitary. As usual the bar opens at 7pm for a meet and greet, with the movie starting about 8, attendance is FREE. Come along and meet fellow boaties. You don't need to be a member to attend. These are always great nights and you'll have a few laughs.

Admittedly this film is somewhat risqué; yes there’s even a warning on the dust jacket about the sex scenes. But it’s OK because As I mentioned above, this is an art film.

Set in the 1920s, on a remote island, this is a charming story about a tiny community managing a light house. The cast of characters are somewhat unattractive, but with the island and the ocean, this film is really quite beautiful. Made by Australian director Shirley Barrett, there's a very feminine atmosphere to the very blokey environment of the light house. Come along, you’ll enjoy!

If you've never visited our Club, it is at the entrance to the Seaview Marina, Port Road, Lower Hutt (here's a chance to have a nosy).

Admission Price FREE!
