wheels 543
It's been aground for well over a week now. It hasn't been on the news that I have seen. A big Southerly on this beach will tear it apart. This beach is probably the most dangerous in NZ. Right at the low tide edge of the water, it drops vertically about 10m. I have seen trawlers come right along the beach so close you could jump to the beach and not get your feet wet. I don't know if this is what this one was doing. Huge Southerly waves blow directly onto this beach with such colossal force, it will dump a mountain of shingle in one wave and block the lake mouth off. I am surp5rised they are not trying to haul this boat off why they have had the chance.

wheels 543
Ooops, forgot that too. It is the beach South of the Lake Ellesmere mouth, which is South of the Port Hills, North of the Rakaia River Mouth.

Nzgrant 19
The crew must have been wearing lifejackets so its not possible that anything untoward has happened so must not be reported as such lol
