wheels 543 Posted July 9, 2017 Share Posted July 9, 2017 No, they have been gone for many many years. Horizon Radio is still made I believe, but not the instruments. I was told many years ago that Navman took over that side, but that does not make sense to me. So if someone has more of the story. I have the Horizon AP50 AP. Apart from the lack of sophistication, it has worked and still works well. It looks more like a very early Simrad and interestingly has the similar Model designation (AP 50) of the early Simrad.Although we don't seem to see Horizon Radio (VHF) in NZ anymore, they were a noted well made brand in their day.
