waikiore 399 Posted July 25, 2017 Share Posted July 25, 2017 The empire builders at Yachting NZ are proceeding onwards ignoring the wishes of their members. Now they are demanding YNZ affiliation fees from every club that you belong to. Many of us belong to a number of yacht clubs and we are advised that we have to pay again and again, not as has happened in the past nominate the club that you choose to pay this levy through. Little wonder that many smaller clubs are refusing to hand over their membership details (on privacy grounds of course) And just paying a nominal number of senior equivalent members. harrytom 643 Posted July 25, 2017 Share Posted July 25, 2017 belonged to a smaller club years ago and thats exactly what the club did,payed for 3/4 of membership,better they get something than nothing?why should a club be affiliated to ynz,if only to run club races,as previous thread awhile ago,nothing to stop a club running its own events/safety regs etc. Should only need to pay at one club.Its not like you can represent 3 clubs at once in a race?
