Blackfun in Europe

First regatta under way now http://www.royalcork.com/icra2011/

The boys have been doing quite well and are happy with the set up compared to the European boats, there has been quite a range of conditions and a sloppy sea as well, going straight into the regatta hasn't left much time for training practice but they are getting there.

Bulb keel has raised a few eyebrows!!

Results are here: http://www.rcyc.ie/Results/2011/cruiser ... rc3os.html

Great stuff fellas!

Nice to see you up at the sharp-ish end of the fleet in your first outing. Looks like Tiger is really strong though...

Looks like Blackfun scored a fourth overall, hopefully it was a good build up for the Quarter Ton Cup. Any event reviews stevemc or Twitchy? Sounds like the bulb keel was causing some interest

Probably best for Twitchy to give a report as I wasn't there, however they had some pretty close racing on the water with the top group of boats and on corrected they were slowly getting better, Its close enough that if we sail really well tactically then we can still get to the front, wont be easy however!

Also reports are that they loved Ireland and the hospitality there was amazing and so where the people, pitty it was still a bit cold! They do have some big fleets over there thats for sure
