wheels 543 Posted March 18, 2012 Share Posted March 18, 2012 Now THAT was bloody awesome. Just got back in from being out there. Wooohooo!!!! What a blast. We had Crew.org members (splashprinces? I'm terrible with names) from Wellington onboard and another mate from a boat moored up the estuary beside us. During the pre start, we had Sanya come right across in front of us into Shoal bay. We all said at the same time, "where are they going??". The speed of the boats were unbelievable. You just don't get a sense of speed on TV. We were all buzzing and all so wished they would do the leg again. I don't actually know what was with Groupama, but on the last leg back up the harbour, she almost looked like she was overpowered a couple of times. And when she stood up in the last gybe to the mark, she was utterly smoking with speed. I am going to load some pics now and sort them for placing on here. Link to post Share on other sites
