Megwyn 2
Be good when we can get sail cloth that doubles as solar panels. Well, carbon carries a charge (doesn't it?) - isn't there now something that you can spray or paint on a charge carrying surface to generate energy?

WarrenColon 0
I have a 50w solar panel onboard this w/e which a friend has bought along to test how well it can keep up with my fridge. I have a dedicated fridge battery so we're thinking of hooking it up directly to that battery without the engine runni g. Is there any risk of confusing or damaging my boat system which has an intelligent split charging that feeds from the alternator across 3 batteries. I don't want to damage anything else by hooking this solar panel up to my fridge battery? There seems to be no problem with the set up.. Have you applied it? If it is working I would love to have similar set up.
