in cockpit throttle etc for outboard

I'm wanting to fit a proper yacht-style engine control into the cockpit of the Variant, so I can see where I'm going, instead of having to grovel over the transom to change gear on the outboard. Is this sort of thing do-able? I really really don't want the tinny type engine controls 'cos they are just ugly and there's not much room in the Variant's cockpit to start with. What do people think?

I've set up morse controls on my boat with the single action type control. You do need to get the control arms for the outboard to allow the cables to be connected though and to get rid of the twist control.
