Guest Posted August 22, 2012 Share Posted August 22, 2012 If using a conventional lip seal against sea water then you need a stainless bootspring. If this isn't available in the size you're looking for then a rubber "O" ring of a size to put moderate tension on the lip should be good for a rudder shaft. Link to post Share on other sites
