Fogg 427
No edit button. Anyway. Pretty normal briefing i.e. focus was on weather presented by Bob McDavitt. But unlike previous years where focus has been on weather for the race itself this year Bob majored on post-race conditions. This is because for the race itself "it will be straightforward SW 25kts+". But then after most of the fleet has arrived in Russell it will build and swing through to N/NW 30kts+. Making anchoring in Russell a challenge especially through an alcohol-soaked Sat night. This will continue building potentially reaching NW30-40kts by Mon am down the coast. Until Mon night when it will swings through to E30-40 creating a big swell onto the E coast. So overall a recipe for a great race on Friday but potential for a weather mishap when you've finished and your guard is down. Take care people.
