Bags for Vacuum Bagging

If you're curing conventional West system type resin at room temperature, use anything airtight. Such as cheap tubular plastic from the garden centre. That will be fine up to about 45-50 degrees. Above that you want to look at the more specialised heat resistant film plastics from SP-HM etc. But for low temp applications anything will do. I sometimes use cheap black plastic rubbish bags for small jobs. They're already sealed on 3 edges which saves time and cost.

If you are going above 50 degrees, give SP High Modulus a call. Think their number is 09 415 6262 from memory.

Good question AFU, I was thinking exactly the same thing last evening. I was playing with my new sucker over the weekend and suspected the plastic from M10 was a tad porous. Worked OK but I think I could use better.
