Y88 Association 8
NATIONALS CREW WANTED The 88's have been on a diet and lost 46kgs off the crew weight and removed the restriction on crew numbers for the nats = opportunity for ANY keen & experienced crew but particularly for lighter male and female sailors to fill in for the heavyweights of old. If you are not already committed to a boat and keen to crew on an 88 in what is probably NZ's most competitive one design keel boat national champs (bring on that debate ) then follow this link to the 88 web site .... http://www.young88.org.nz/Crewfinder.html For more info re the: - Young 88s go here http://www.young88.org.nz/ - the nationals go here http://www.rnzys.org.nz/Sailing/MajorRegattas/Young88Nationals/tabid/244/Default.aspx To follow us on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/YoungEightyEight
Y88 Association 8
Y88 Nationals April 13-14. Looking Like 21 Competitive Entries Once again we will have a very competitive fleet with the weekend warrior owner/crews mixing it up in the waters North of Rangitoto with the pros. The sailmakers, spar makers and class measurers have been busy and everyone will be out in their "Sunday Best" doing what they can to earn bragging rights.. The Young 88 is very responsive to crew weight and what is making it more interesting is that everyone will be on or about the same crew weight with the lighter crews able to reach the max weight for the first time. this should make the racing even closer. Some of the skippers are finding it challenging to balance the scales creating opportunities for those who are keen and experienced to get on a Young 88. Go to our web site and register if neck and neck one design racing appeals. Don't be shy about your publishing your weight. It comes down to grams with some of our fleet! http://www.young88.org.nz/Crewfinder.html
