alibaba 79 Posted June 7, 2013 Share Posted June 7, 2013 yep, the first boat I ever built was a Hartley 16, and I had a cheap alloy mast off a quicksilver. it worked OK, but from memory it was a little bit longer and heavier than a Hartley mast, , had a taper at the top. I really should have reworked it at the top. but, as I said, it was fine. Link to post Share on other sites

I have a carbon freestanding rig spars and sails that will fit a Hartley and turn her into a very fast easy tacking fun little ship !! Can be had for 25% of material cost.
