A little known and largely overlooked point. I think if I was going offshore I would have a bit of wire probably Dyform roughly 30% stronger than standard and two Norseman fittings with Dyform cones suitable to fit most parts of the boat. It has a lifespan significantly longer than that of any cordage. Weight aloft is for the gran prix guys and anyone who thinks it going to give them an advantage otherwise is dreaming.
