We are not insured to race and so like last year (in the pleasant 40+kts) I will be joining the fleet all the way to Russell and taking a few photos for the CC web site along the way. My regular sailing mates have all abandoned me to places like San Fran and Kenya so I have a couple of spare double cabins. So not racing as such, sorry. However Magique is very comfortable and no slug to sail. We usually do about 8kts+ and have hit 20.3kts down a wave Magique is almost Cat 1 as I prepare her for a trip to Fiordland in Feb. My plan is to probably head out Thur evening to beat the Westhaven madness Friday morning. Position to get some photos and sail with the fleet. If the wind dies at sunset as it has done the last few year we will motor/sail so will be in Russell not much after midnight. Back to AKL Sunday/Monday. PM or email (dsaggs@xtra.co.nz) if interested.
