Sounds bad.. http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/9601153/Man-killed-on-dinghy A 68-year-old man has died after he was thrown from a dinghy in a collision with a 13 metre yacht in the Bay of Islands today. Police say the collision occurred as the yacht was coming out of Opua at 8.30am. Crew members from the tall ship R. Tucker Thompson who witnessed the incident pulled the man from the water and began CPR until an ambulance crew arrived. The attempts at resucitation were not successful. Police at the scene are interviewing witnesses and the crew of the yacht. The deceased is believed to be a local man, however further details will not be released until formal identification procedures have been completed and next of kin notified.
