PaulR 3 Posted March 3, 2014 Share Posted March 3, 2014 Now I have a supply of very efficient geared electric motors and small marine props that could be used to "move" the boat from the "action" of the "sails" alone, by pass any battery issues, ideal for flat calm conditions. Be the "ONLY" boat doing "UNBELIEVEABLE SPEEDS" even if only 0.334 knots. Link to post Share on other sites
Kestrahl 6 Posted March 3, 2014 Share Posted March 3, 2014 Can't see this going very far, cruising boats spend most of their time with the main down, don't use film/film laminated sails and you can already buy flexible solar to sew on the Bimini/dodger or Dacron mainsail if you feel the need.
