  1. perfect if you need to do a martin breaker setup or want a halyard clip that wont come undone,  bought it on trade me but too large for what i want. Brand new purchased off trade me this week

here is a link to an identical auction

will take $100 plus shipping for it.  This guy also has smaller ones which I have also purchased and they look good for smaller boats

  2. Still probably better than the boat show, went yesterday and what a waste of time. Staff who knew nothing and pricing was done by looking at the website!

Two of the stands told me I had to go to the store to get pricing. Could have saved myself 20 bucks

  3. Pretty sure it is 11. I have one with a 700 prod and easily fits in a 12m berth. I have the actual drawings on the boat I can check tomorrow if you need exact measurements

  4. If you hit something in the middle of the channel in something that draws 1m it wasn't the bottom.  I am 1.75 and will only touch the bottom on a .4 dead low.  I can get out all tide on a .5 if I am careful about being in the middle.  It is very easy to drift out of the channel you need to use the triangles not the poles to stay in the middle.  Drift out of the channel and you will bump the bottom in anything.  Pine Harbour has 9m and 10.5m berths so getting something that fits in a 9m saves money,  but the 10.5's fit a 1020 so that is good if you go bigger

  5. had a call from Tyler in the states looking to get a rudder made for a Farr 38, boat is based in Akaroa so Christchurch based would be best,  anyone had one built recently, either island,
if you have useful info post it here as i passed on the site details but can also contact him direct on mountain.alternative@yahoo.com

  6. at 1.4m I would not worry about getting in and out or Halfmoon bay, except on the very low tides if you want to go between Music Pt and Browns island.  We get through on a .6 at 1.8m so you should be good down to a .2.  It is well marked and has you pointing at the islands in no time.  Going the long way round when you need to you wont have any issues at that depth.
