Hi
I have a SD20, as I understand it the zinc ones should used in saltwater and a magnesium based one in fresh water.
The boat is kept on a trailer and used mostly in Lake Rotoiti (freshwater with some geothermal influence). We also put her in the sea for a month or so.
Similar for the motor ones Yanmar.
Thanks

Then donate it to your yacht clubs Heath and Safety Officer as a training aid.

Having done several HUET courses and a offshore survival course I'd agree go have a play .... capsize it, see if you can get in it with some gear on ....

iPad user, not noticed any issues.

Did our boat 3 yrs ago, both sides.. not noticed anything as yet.

The Farr 9.2, Noelex30 or the Farr940 version are worth a look. Easy to sail by 2 people.
As many have already pointed out a well looked after boat is worth a 2nd look.

Gosh is chalk like cheese, after been trailer yachts the differences kick in.
The C7 has a deep Skeg, with the pivoting centreboard intruding the length of the main salon. While the N25 has a vertical dagger board set forward giving an 'open' salon area.
There is also a difference in the static height in the cabin due to the raised floor in the C7 compared to the N25.
Visit a trailer yacht club or compound and step from one to the other.

Garmin have some 6" models complete with transducers for under $1k, NZ charts preloaded.

Hi There are a few Taranki refugees with the BOPTYS at Lake Rotoiti. We may have 2-3 Catalinas in the compound, if you want to ses several at once, not aware any are for sale.

Hi
Fibreglass hull replacing a thru hull transducer; the question is what sealant to use or maybe more importantly what not to use.
Thanks
