Have the kids actually been told of the ColRegs?
My first introduction to sailing was Port gives way to Starboard, Windward gives way to Leeward, Power gives way to sail
I didn't encounter the term "ColRegs" until I moved to New Zealand in 2013, before that my keel boat sailing was done on the foredeck so didn't really need to know then as the back of the boat didn't listen to me anyway.

When approaching a starboard tack trailer sailer always allow a bit more room for the transom mounted outboard
As Maxwell Smart would say... "Missed it by this much"
-
Leave it alone. There's some interesting discussion on here. If you don't like it don't open it........

Hope nobody steps onto the bow... Looks like it could tip forward in a strong breeze

Is there a Palma in the Caribbean?
Or just bad journalism?
Palma may have been a quick stop on a longer voyage
-
Shipping from Palma to Genoa
I make that 425nm
What am I missing ?
The bit from the Caribbean to the Mediterranean perhaps

Try sailing anarchy forum, Sportscar or Couta might know

Very important to tie the foils to the boat...
One young sailor here in Melbourne found out the hard way the foils don't float

At what point do.the marina operators have a mandate to remive the zombie boats?
Never mind mussel farms there are a heap of fan worm farms about,
And despite the increasing prices there are still significant numbers of very neglected boats preventing others from entering the marina. Given they now have a waiting list is it time to find a mechanism to help people into berths?
When the fees are no longer being paid.
At the Canberra Yacht Club the invoice for boat yard storage is sent out in early September each year, I was told that the boats that hadn't sailed for years were always the first to pay.

A skeg helps upwind but centre boards are better but if you plan on running it up the beach at speed the Hobie 16 is perfect!
The Hobie 17 has kick up centre boards and hiking racks. Also has a trapeze for the kids to play on.

Only got to wait until 60% of the fleet has finished before the next start can be scheduled.
Probably no bigger gap than any other RNI with the likes of ran tan not there.
So what happens if a boat doesn't make the next start?

Ahhh I see, I missed the bit about the liquidator.
Aust law is worse re gift vouchers... Some places put an expiry date on a gift voucher that someone has paid money for. If you don't use it, they keep the cash!
-
Smallest boats entered are Elliott 7.9 and Ross 8.
Biggest entered are Young 50 and Dickson 50.
There will be some long stopovers waiting for the tail enders to arrive
-
Why not?Bugger. Had $300 of their gift vouchers which they won't honour now.
If you received them as prizes ask if you can buy gear at normal retail rather than the heavily discounted price.
If someone paid cash for the gift vouchers, start talking very loudly about consumer protection laws and insist on the discounted price.

If this post doesn't do the trick, perhaps a bottle of rum left in the cockpit might.

Probably - she stayed in Australia after the 1981 Southern Cross Cup and is still there I beleive.
Thanks... It was known as the DopeRunner in Melbourne

I have been scanning some old negatives, some of which are in very poor condition, but may bring back some memories. I hope you find something interesting amongst them.
I will start with the launch of Feltex Roperunner in late 1980 at Half Moon Bay. You may recognize some people, Don and Jim Lidgard, Farr, Bowler...
In the late 80's there was a boat called Roperunner sailing out of Melbourne... Any connection to this one?

Hang about...
There is weather on the YB tracker ??? (using the app on iPad)
I have clicked on the weather button but nothing happens

VMG Recent has Arbitare at 16.6 knots!

Rain water systems here in Aus generally have a screw cap at the lowest point of the system... Undo that and stand clearYeah - 'cept the roof hasn't been cleaned in years - and we're under a Puriri, Rimu and a Kauri. Downpipe's not been purged in months. Water in the toilet bowls are brown with small bits of treewood
So.... need a good flushing all round
Had a boatbuilder mate round earlier. Took both of us about 40 minutes to figure out the layout of the tank plumbing.
Got there in the end

What's happening with the results?
Leg 1 Auckland-Mongonui results table shows Motorboat II 1st for both line and corrected time.
But when you view via tracker it shows Motorboat II with 1st on PHRF but 2nd on line. And Titanium holds 1st on line and 2nd on PHRF?
Or am I looking at it wrong?
On the tracker all handicaps are the same
Tornado ripped through downtown Auckland last night including Westhaven....how's your boat?

Thanks, any idea what the dagger board weighs?
20 ton at 4m depth... Looks like it needs a bit more in the bulb!
