When are you planning the delivery across the Tasman?
-
Some interesting tracks showing up on the tracker, were there some retirements?
-
... and they drank all of my rum too!
That's what happens when you forget the peanuts!
-
I wrote some software that logs instrument/gps data and then uploads it to a web service. It also extracts video from a GoPro so that you can view it alongside the data:
Shame about the crew, pay peanuts and get monkeys

Was hers, but she quickly sold it after trying to shift Brown Island, the new owner patched her up and was cruising in a week, she is working on a whiting I believe
Insurance paid out, Ashley moved onto another boat which is sitting in a shed in bits

It seems the first Magic trapeze line job must have been OK... Now I have another set to do!

Does anyone know/has anyone tried flying with tins of kiwi grip in their check in baggage?
I see it says on the tin it's safe to fly/non flameable. But it looks pretty much like paint and I can imagine when the bags go through x-ray at the very least they'll want to open the bag and check, and then you're kind of reliant on whomever is doing the checking to carefully read the print on the tin rather than just taking a cursory look and declaring it paint.
Anyone done this?
Has someone bought a boat?
-
This might appeal to some, just a little race that was last done in 1988

What am I supposed to be looking at? All I get is the front page of the Herald??
Try this link http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-36475672

Jeez, I need to put my fees up!!!
You can when houses are selling for 150K
A former real estate agent here in Oz is now selling planes for a living, his commission rate dropped from 3% to 0.15% and he couldn't be happier. House 1M, Plane 230M... You can do the maths

It seems YB have closed the "request desktop site" on google chrome workaround so you can see the tracker on iPad.

Did Doyle announce a new soft shackle system recently?
-
Someone in need of a motor might need to fire up the chainsaw!

GST started in 2000 here in Aus, if there is GST payable now you should be able to claim it back when the boat is exported.
Hamish looked at the costs of exporting a boat from Aus last year, he might be able to offer some tips or contacts.

Now for those on limited budgets. What other small boats are considering this?
All the other small boats have watched Skins summation from the last RNI
-
Will you be sailing it back to NZ?
Where in Australia is it?
-
Is Fineline on the market?
-
It is on their FB page
Flipped, mast in mud, broken top mast section, towed to base upside down, all on board OK
They don't have a lot of luck at this regatta, they dropped the big boat's rig in 2013(?)

I'm sure KM-m will be able to get it to you pretty cost effectively.
The cost might increase to a rum if freight is involved!

What stops the furler from unhooking?
-
It is made from concrete?

The Magic's were 0.925 under CBH (whatever that is), the Sprint was about 0.875
Hopefully the multis will have more numbers next year and their own division to play in

Did I request company? I think that was for kawau night race return journey. Got a crew lined up for trip home from marsden thankful. Bloody long return journey by yourself on a GBE!
Having numbers on board doesn't always make it easier if the others are suffering the effects of a big night. They always seem to come good at about North Head though
F-ing Tramps....

If you have no luck locally I have purchased custom nets from Kings Nets in Melbourne in the past.
