  1. No one wants to hurt themselves neither do employers want staff injuries and want there employees be uninjured so that productivity stays as it should be and the company does not get a bad reputation.

However when the far more educated than me and have a 100k plus a year salary and thier some job is health and safety tell me i must Wear a harness in a scissor lift but the cannot explain or point out the certified attachment point for said harness and how I will not exceed the manufacturers maximum side force when I fall while attached says to me that something is wrong with the forementioned h & s system. There are many companys in Auckland that seem to place a blanket cover on h&s but also ignore that sometimes some things do not require certain safety procedures and do not base issues on a case by case situation.

  2. Seems odd that we can have an open flame

    Cooker and not a califont.

I would consider a cooker to be more a risk wobling around all it's life wearing out the hose not to mention burning ya eyebrows off while checking ya spaghetti.

  3. How many people have put a califont in a yacht and kept it legal if possible?

It seems the regs say nothing that intakes or exhausts inside sleeping or Living areas is permisable.

Insurance is an issue I guess as well.

Is there a way around this?

    Cheers for any input

  4. Sadly I can related very well to what Zozza is saying.

I wouldn't, we have our moments as well. I am trying to minimise them but they do still lurk in dark corners waiting for their chance to jump out.

I think a key thing with Zozzas example and one I keep trying to bash in my mob is 'communicate'. I find if you do that it does minimise the niggles and bitching. If we don't then we do deserve the odd serve I get.

  5. I looked at a 20k keeler a couple of months back. The broker made it very clear that his business is in selling big expensive euro boats and boats in that price range were just an irritation to him. He also made me feel as though I was an irritation wanting to look at the boat.. not a great experience.

To some a 20-30k boat is a dream boat..

    Too right!

    20k to some

    200k to others

It's about your level of comittment and any smart sales person from any type of sales should recognise that and treat all with the same level of respect.

  7. Is it right that if we are in nz along with some other countries then we cannot use the app to watch the cup

    ? Only graphics? Wtf

Does anyone know why that is and then does anyone know where it can be watched.

  8. Zoom and look at top of mast... Funny shaped strings up there.

But anyway what a bum to happen.

And the other boat getting towed

And as soon as they tied up they handed over the paperwork for the skipper to sign... And probably a ya better join Coast guard.

What do they charge for a tow if you are not a member.

  9. We have 7 of the gesipa ones.. These things are reliable and very sturdy.... Dropped one from ten meters up once and it survived. The boys drop them every bloody day...but that's another story.

Can't speak highly enough of them.

    Expensive though

Get the dark blue one for heavier stuff... Like stainless etc. A little slower but not by much.
