Anyone got a recommendation for a tube bending company or got any bending gear themselves and able to do some bending for me? More than happy to pay.
I want to make an arch for some solar panels on the back of the boat. 2 frames made with a 6m length each frame, 90 degree bends 1.6m from each end leaving a 2.8m top section between the bends.
Will have 2 x 150w pannels around 10kg each.
I have some 6m lengths of 25mm 1.2mm wall thickness stainless. Hopefully that's strong enough?
Give Sam a call 027 447 5017.

By ‘we’ I mean the collective NZ psyche (pardon the pun! 😊) including the opinion pieces from the sanctimonious journalists & media commentators who question the ethics of the Emirates arrangement on moral grounds but daren’t write a piece challenging our relationship with China.
With the exception of Guyon Espiner and John Daniell of course, who did a great job with The Red Line podcast series.

Sounding a bit like Thatcher and Muldoon there boys.
Sports and politics do mix and 40 years ago change came to apartheid South Africa with international sports playing a pivotal part in that said change Nelson Mandela was forever grateful for the efforts of those who saw human rights abuses and stood against their own governments positions to lend a shoulder in help to progress change.
It’s not all about the loot it maybe for Lord Dalton but he is no longer representing NZ just my pennies worth.

very nice looking dinghy. ugly rig, not as slippery under sail I'm sure, but looks like could carry more people and gear .
Considering The PT11 complete kit including rig rudder centreboard etc is $7500 Kiwi Roubles plus shipping plus build sourcing a nicer rig for the Journeyman locally could be a coin saver.
I’ll send them an enquiry and see if they would consider selling a cnc cut file into the home of the Cup but not for to much longer.

Kits hull only $5000 Nz plus shipping plus build hours makes for a expensive 11ft dink.
Russel B would not see much of return on releasing a cnc cut file with the risk of plagiarism etc.

Quite possibly.

Rod was always a bit of a reclusive character. He lived up the Waikare inlet at the bay last time I had contact with him. Owns a lovely old Logan called Wanderer.
My favourite memory of him was at the classic bikes at Puke. Everyone turns up with their bikes polished to within an inch of their lives.
Rod turns up on his Vincent absolutely covered in road dirt. Best looking bike there !
He was a pretty good rider in the day on a Duc 750ss I think
Rod owned the W Fife? Designed Mavis which was lost on a reef near Fiji if I remember correctly she was owned for many years by the guy with one leg whose name I can’t remember.
Saw Rod not too long ago here in Poncenby all leathered up on his Vincent Comet somethings never change.

The RC166 was a wildly successful race bike built by Honda in the Sixties, equipped with a 250-cc inline-six making 65 horsepower, capable of revving to almost 20,000 (!) rpm. It was quick enough to propel rider Mike Hailwood to two world titles, and it makes a magnificent sound.

Well I wish GD ,TNZ every success. It's an oldie but a goodie.....you don't know what you've got until you lose it. Tall poppie syndrome alive and well BP ?
Au contraire Armchair.
TNZ chose to turn down the Council/Government $100m offer with a like and kind content Mark Dunfay kinda put another $80m on the table now with all the potential hosts running for the hills apart from the Evil Empire Dalton looks increasingly more of a greedy fool than a tall poppy.
Personally I would much rather see the loot and resources poured into combating the appalling world leading youth suicide rate that we have here in what used to be the home of the Cup.

Looking like Cork is backing away as a venue for AC37 that just leaves the Evil Empire.
Crikey TNZ may have to pay somebody to host the event…
Hope RG kept Dunfays number.

Need advice. Last Xmas daughters decided I needed to learn to use Spotify. Now I'm a huge fan. So for the trip north I bought a tablet and signed up to Netflix. I can cast movies to the TV. Not so good but OK.
So now I think i could empty an unused bunk and drop several hundred kilos by shifting to e books. ( this is a tough one, I like books but weight and space right?)
So 1) can I use the tablet? 2) any other advice, where to look etc...???
Download the Kindle app to your tablet.
