Major major major rum race friday night meant a whole lot of holding the couch down to the floor on saturday... That couch would walk away if i got off it, so had to do the right thing and look after it all day. Then today we took mercenary out and dominated the BBYC fleet, then farewelled a very good mate Tommy K who is heading over to europe to join the superyacht circus. A good night had by all!

Yeah i think a sh*t load of power, more sail area in the main and probably the same size if not slightly bigger chute. With probably the same wetted surface (Hulls arent that much different). And its pretty timid downhill so you can keep the foot to the floor. Man that last run of the last race was awesome! If we didnt have a stuck winch on the gennaker sheet we mighta got ya but you were smoking maddock!

The mast is too short, i think you should give it to me and build another one... I think the rake will be fine, In that photo i suspect the rig wasnt in the middle (When we stuck it in quickly we never pinned it off, just had it on rough lashings) so i think it was off to port, that with the boat sitting on the port Ama gives the illusion of too much rake. It will be interesting now that the boat isnt so nosey to see if you need as much rake to keep the bows out or to make it go upwind. I think alot will change and it will take some time to get used to tuning the mast again. Moreso with t

Ah Tim, my job was the easy bit! Tie it on and let the crane do the work! Was actually good fun and so easy with Tony the crane operater a seriously cool operator! That crane is a wicked piece of kit! We need it to stay there perminantely for stuff like that!

Prod is upside down... The one at 90 degrees is the bobstay to the main hull, then the two sideways ones go to the float bows (Although not right to the bow on the new floats tim?) And the two on the angle are the tacklines (Two of) And there is a track on there for the code zero furler to slide out the prod.

Ah bummer... Although thats a pretty small mistake to make considering the other opportunities there were for them like putting the cases around the wrong way or something far worse!
