  1. Has anyone used Carbon full length battens to help reduce the weight of the sail when hosting etc. Have a Farr 1020 with 4 x full length battens (1.5m - 2.5m - 3.5m and 4.2m long) Expensive to buy new. Is there a second hand market for carbon battens?
  2. After many years very good service the Classic Range (NMEA 0183) Wind Analogue instrument has stopped working. 5. Always enjoy reading MarkM’s observations from the RaceTrack computer. Our combined Gulf Harbour Yacht Club and Weiti Boating Club series have continued to see an increase in the number of boats sailing in these events. The summer two handed series had a record of 24 entries and we have 29 in our Winter series. Next season we have more combined cruising races in the calendar. So your observation is correct. The bigger fleets are a lot more interesting to race in than a smaller group and more boats are joining the excellent racing the two clubs are putting on in ‘one of the best sailing waters’
