"Serena" is a boat that I have looked after for three years.

She is a Colin Archer double ender.

She has done only a handful of sea miles for her age.

She was built over 35 years, finally put in the water in 95.

That owner passed away a few years later.

A further owner did little but maintained her.

The current owner has spent more on a boat of this type than I have ever seen.

It has been used for only a few hours...(sail training)..

Circumstances dictated the owner to move to a power vessel.

Price is $60K.

What you get is...

A 36 foot Colin Archer Double Ender.

Beamy, and very sea kindly.

Full keel, and keel hung rudder.

Built of a combination of the best timbers that (you cant get anymore).

The interior is mostly book end . (In solid timber).

BUT....

what is far more important..

A brand new engine...WM kubota 67 HP, plus gear box, plus all running gear.

A pss shaft seal.

(They cut the coach roof off to do the reinstall and then did a total rebuild)

A full brand new Raymarine electronics package.

Chart plotter, Black box death sounder , and Radar......all brand new.

A full rig rebuild.

The spars removed and rebuilt. All new standing rigging.

All new running rigging (all spectra...yep every line)

Brand new main and Jib, custom built for the boat.

The whole intention of the current owner was to make her look the best AND be the best.

Originally set up as a gaffer, she is now a short mast sloop. It would not be a problem to return her to a gaff rig. (but why would you, she sails just fine as she is)

Life lines...Custom turned SOLID staunchions with spectra lines and very rare american ends.

The NEW anchor winch is a work of art....it is a manual winch but is huge and solid, cast and machined just for this vessel.

Mushroom vents also...cast and machined just for this boat.

A brand new composting dunny...

And so it goes.....

This boat is next to me in the marina.

I maintain her on a daily basis....the owner has dropped the price to a ridiculous degree because he would rather she be sold than wrecked for parts.

The asking price is less than it was bought for before all the additions.

More than happy to send pics to serious people.

PM me.

ps has HF radio as well of course (icom).

Taken tonight...no bullshit old pics.

In the last pic the raymarine depth black box (00ps on previous spelling) is on the left, upper. brand new.

The engine has aprox 60 hours, most of which I did with sail training and since starts weekly to keep her good.

New electrical panel is centre up.

....

So if I bought her what she need ?

Honest..

A galley stove.

The original kero was removed.

A re take on the saloon table.

The owner removed old to make a more practicable one but didnt get around to it. The one in the pic is a temp....(the timbers in that are a bit special alone..but that is for the new owner to find out).

And to be blunt...bugger all else...

It is pointless me continuing to maintain her to this degree, The price is at scrap value for the systems.

I get ZERO dollars for her sale.

In fact a percentage if sold will go to the sales company.......grumpff..

PM me for ANY information.

(the wires to the right are just my temp battery charger leads....there is two times two new batteries behind the companionway steps)
