Guest
I had it done a few months ago and am really pleased with how she looks. I get lots of comments! Here is some more info if you are interested in how it was done etc. http://astrolabesailing.com/2014/07/08/ ... boat-wrap/ What do you think?!

Guest
Yay thanks! What are you having done? So many amazing colours and designs now, it is hard to choose!
Guest
The new Beau 770 will be a wrap job too. Going to shade from light blue to dark blue in a way that would be hard to paint. One of the local sign writers is branching out into wrapping and is going to do our boat as a sample of his work. His prices sound very competitive too. Agree that it is the way to go but I believe that you still require a nice gloss finish to apply the skin to.
erice 732
next year's project may be this would be nice if it was as easy as a wrap but that would cost more than 2 "donations" to newmarket high schools and can barely afford those so it would have to be enamel, brushes and lots time... Island Time 1,246
The Wrap is certainly versatile and artistic. For those who are interested in paint, there is a guy, Lance Cargill, who works out of Weiti Boat club, who does "perfection" roll and tip paint jobs for about the same price. I've seen a couple, and they look pretty good. I have no relationship with Lance, but I thought for the price his work looked OK!
erice 732
with enough time a lot can be done with simple ideas and paint
Guest
Cool pics and designs! The sky is the limit. Dan & Helen at Boat Coat were brilliant and did my whole design etc - it is actually inspired by Team SCA Volvo boat, but with the pink and white parts reversed and changed for red instead! Glsssbead 2
I wrapped my 9m yacht myself about 6 months ago after watching some youtube videos, and am pleased with the results + can't beat the price. I bought my wrap from Vvivid in Canada on eBay for NZ$500 including shipping. Amazing technology! http://www.ebay.com/itm/VViViD-White-Gl ... 4e&vxp=mtr
