cep32 4 Posted March 23, 2015 Share Posted March 23, 2015 I'm not having any success finding a Javelin in the South Island so will need to look further North. Most seem to come up in Auckland (like the one in the classifieds at the moment) so I need to be able to transport from Auckland to somewhere in the South Island. Shipping/road transport rates have so far ranged from $900 to $1500 on back-load which is more than any of the boats are worth. Other than sailing one down does anyone have any bright ideas for a lower cost option. The financial controller is happy with $300. Anything more than that and I'll have to apply for a variation to the contract which will come with severe penalties. Link to post Share on other sites
grantmc 59 Posted March 24, 2015 Share Posted March 24, 2015 I could help you out by storing a boat for you in my garage in Wellington until you have some friend or other travelling to Nelson. Probably also be able to organise free shipment to Wellington as a back load (my mate owns some trucks) but you'd need to avoid buying Wairoa/Gisborne and north of Auckland.
