Fish 0
I'm wanting to hire / rent / borrow a cutlass bearing pulling tool. Specifically I'm after one that can remove the bearing with the shaft in place. Bearing is 1 1/4 inch by 1 3/4 inch by 5 inches. Bearing is in a P bracket, so 'easy' to get at. Anything like a Shaft Pro or home made equivalent would be ideal. Please contact by private message if you have one, happy to pay commercial rates for a tool that can do the job
Chewing Gum 17
General Marine Services did ours but that was with shaft removed, they had a tool for refitting also. You can use a hacksaw if you pull the shaft - just fit the hacksaw blade to the hacksaw through the hole - careful not to cut the strut !
