Richmond 2 Posted August 24, 2010 Share Posted August 24, 2010 LINK Spring Regatta 25th September, Start 08:50 The Spring Regatta is Richmond Yacht Club's opening race for the summer. It has a long, rich tradition and nowdays is also the opening race of the prestigious Nexus Gold Cup Series. The race starts and finishes at Orakei Wharf, racing around Waiheke Island. Each year it attracts around 100 entries from all over Auckland. With 10 divisions ranging from keelers to multihulls, trailer yachts to sports boats, cruising to hard core racing, there's something for everyone. The event is sponsored by LINK Business Brokers and as usual we have a very generous pool of line, handicap and spot prizes. Skippers who race on Saturday and attend the prizegiving on Sunday are eligible to win the new Panasonic Lumix FT2 digital camera (worth $700). Prizegiving is on Sunday 26 Sept, 1800 hours at Richmond YC. The bar and kitchen will be open for beers and burgers.
