eruptn 95
Quick question; is there any reason one can not install the flush mount deck fitting for a water tank or fuel tank above the oil filler on ones motor. It should be water proof. My oil filler has about 80 mm, space above it, but is back about 0.8m from the front, or 0.5m from the side access. Not easy for getting the new oil in. The idea is remove bung and insert funnel an pour in oil ?
Island Time 1,239
Or use the dipstick hole, tube and funnel, and don't make any more holes in the boat than required.
rigger 47
or try something like http://www.supercheapauto.co.nz/Product/ToolPro-Utility-Oil-Pump-1-Litre/384856 Avoids holes in the deck and / or funnels. For small quantity topups I use an 80-100ml syringe.
Dtwo 157
Be aware that those deck fillers always leak sooner or later.
