Kevin McCready 83
What happens if electronic tether battery goes flat? Presume it triggers? I'd be using the clip on too (double safety).
wheels 543
I seem to remember in the hazy places of my memory that one already exists. A small personal unit that if wearer goes over and reaches x distance, the onboard system activates the alarm and marks the spot on the chart. It is simple enough to do. It is nothing more than a case of the main unit setting off an alarm that it lost communication with the personal unit. The main unit just has to have a transmit feature much like a bluetooth signal. With todays digital stuff, it is likely that any existing system could be updated via a software patch to do just that. It just needs to makers to write the software.I imagine that is how KM's RIB watch thingy works.

Kevin McCready 83
Misunderstanding here. I meant clipped on with the red curly cut-off lead, not a solid tether anchoring you.
