Guest
Just took out a policy with AMI only for them to ring back and tell me they won't insure boats on a mooring! Who do most people use?? Who is the best value for money?? Cheers.
Murky 1
Probably the most-asked question on crew.org. Answers are: - ads to the left and right of your screen - customers of both are very happy - your dealings with insurers will be far easier if you do not own a multihull. Here are some of the past threads if you want more detail - a couple of them deal with racing insurance and the different companies' conditions/limitations, vs insurance-insurance: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=15069&hilit=insurance viewtopic.php?f=6&t=14816&hilit=insurance viewtopic.php?f=6&t=14429&hilit=insurance viewtopic.php?f=37&t=13906&start=0&hilit=insurance

Young Entertainer 59
I have had insurance through PIC brokers since the begninning and found them really good to deal with, plus I know that they support BBYC and BOI regatta so there is some payback to yachting
Fogg 427
Boat insurance is definitely a case where I'd recommend using a broker. You might feel more confident dealing direct for your car or house insurance but boats are definitely a few degrees more complex, as you've just discovered.
