Farrari 4
Long range computer models, which accurately predicted Cyclone Yasi's exact path and strength up to to 10 days in advance, are now picking a new cyclone is going to form directly north of New Zealand in the next 7 days reports WeatherWatch.co.nz. It looks like there may be a new cyclone heading our way based on the 10 day modelling. That would be bad timing for RNI.
wheels 543
Do they have a predicted path???
Farrari 4
All they say is that "Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Fiji and New Zealand will all be at some level of risk from the system if it follows the current modelling." I'm still a little dubious. Metservice can't even predict the weather for the weekend 1 day out accurately.
Absolution 7
This is starting to show up on Metvuw now although still a long way north. Fingers crossed that it stays north or heads east so it doesn't hit the RNI fleet off the west coast next week.
