Hindsightgenius 0
It's a NZ designed and built boat. I am looking to buy one but there is very little information out there. Was hoping the local community might have some knowledge about it. Thanks
marinheiro 352
Hull came off the Young 41 Jipcho, with a widened transom. Most built over period 1974-79, 1 or 2 more in the early 80's. Balsa cored GRP hull and decks. Majority were sloop rigged but also a couple of ketches around. Most had a shallow draft, 1.5m keel. Sailed alot of miles including several circumnavigations. There was a Sea Spray Boat Test, I think in 1974 (I have the issue) and design discussed in Jim's memoirs, "Jim Young - designer, Builder, Sailor"

slanty 8
Have done several offshore passages in one. Great sea boat - very capable in snotty whether. Have been in sustained 50kn winds and felt safe. My memory is that it didn't point that well and made a fair bit of leeway.
