Kiwi303 0
You should look at the Baja 420ES from the 90's then, triple 454s with Mercruiser Bravo 1 legs as standard, optional triple 502s as an upgrade The 454s (7.1 litres) were good for 300 miles at 77 knots, 300 gallon tankage. Give me lotto powerball and I'd pick one up, I bet a pair of economical diesels driving high flow hydraulic pumps would pump out the power to turn triple hydraulic motors hooked to the sternlegs. Fill the 3rd engines space with extra tankage and have a 70knt, 2000 mile range houseboat. One motor should give enough flow for 30+ knots, fire up the second for 60+ knots. Guest
Why wouldn't you motor it up? At half speed you'd make it in 4 hours. We got a crane straight off the container wharf into the water and we were off.
