PeteG 13
Well done to Merric and Becs on Wedgetail for your line honours. And to Mark and Jamie on Revs for what was obviously a really close battle down the coast. AND FOR finishing today (in daylight!) Pleased you learnt after the first leg. Looks like the others will be finishing overnight. Good job Deb never sleeps.
splashprincess 17
Tonight's sked positions now plotted, looks very close between the 2 Nelson Ross boats. Bacchante looks to have dropped off a little from this morning's sked. Breeze dropping so could be slow night, race management team gone home for dinner and maybe some sleep. PeteG 13
Fantastic effort to the guys on Blackout and Redline on a great leg and such a close finish! Could have just stayed here in Nelson and done twilight to have ended so close. Hope you have enjoyed the adventure. Enjoy the rumbo breakfast!

splashprincess 17
Am Meer our last boat is currently tacking their way up the harbour - tracking via AIS.
splashprincess 17
Am Meer currently off Pt Halswell, coming into the finish before heading back home to Seaview Marina. Nice breeze they have to finish in, not like the other boats that took an hour this morning to get from Pt Halswell to the finish line!
Guest
Legend Deb (and the rest of the race management team)... And of course well done to all the entrants.
smithy09 50
Well done all. Great photo of the liquid breakfast. I see the Coruba discarded in favour of the Mt Gay.... Shame the Marshall couldn't make this one. I'd love to do some of these. It looked like a nice series. That Wedgetail is a good looking boat. Impressed! Maybe next time?? Awesome reporting and tough helpers (Debs?) staying up to finish them all. Nice job.
Herdy 0
Smithy put end of Feb, beginning of March 2016 in your events diary now. For the central region yachts to fit in with the wider program, the race will be run every three years the year before the SSANZ RNI. This give the yachts that complete the race the qualification to enter RNI, and also nearly a year to look at improvements for the RNI. Would be really great to have the mighty Marshall Law in the next race.
smithy09 50
Will do Herdy. Always have to try and fit Races in with the offshore work that pays for it all, and Optimist regattas, but at least these Opti Nationals are the last.... Looked like a great 2 handed circuit. Well done to you lot down there for getting it going..
