Island Time 1,252
last time I put mine in for service, it failed. full of leaks caused by chafing in the container I was told. could not be repaired. the container had never been opened, but had been on the boats rail for maybe 10,000 miles. I was less than happy with its condition and reliability. no telling how far it had gone before the first leak...
Guest
Service cost around $100. Service interval supposed to be annual, but most people "manage" this point. Re other comment - there have been longevity issues with various models of inflatable Danbuoy over the years - Jonbuoy and others. However they are easy to use, compact, generally reliable, and visible in the water. There aren't many Cat 1 boats still using the old pole in a tube / up the backstay arrangement
Guest
generally reliable?
Jon 362
Think I may as well stick to our old ali tube one then.
